We are each gifted in a unique and important way. It is our privilege and our adventure to discover our own special light. ~Evelyn Dunbar
The WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge this week is “Let There Be Light” I found some of my favorite images featuring light so I could get an entry into this week’s challenge (last minute, for sure….I’m wearing my “procrastinating pants” today 😉 ) Make sure to check out the other awesome entries at the WordPress site!
My first image is of an exhibit at the Birch Aquarium in San Diego that I saw this summer. It featured illuminated jellyfish. I thought it was pretty unique and enjoyed watching them float around.
An awesome Jack-O-Lantern with the light shining from within!
This photo features my daughter’s Bearded Dragon surrounded by candles during a power outage. Luckily I was only without power for a little over a day and he managed to stay warm enough to survive!
My final image is of a nativity display that is set up at Storybook Island, a wonderful children’s park filled with displays of fairy tale and storybook characters. During the summer, kids can run and play in the park, but during the Christmas season the displays are lit with lights and it is a fun place to walk around, sip hot chocolate and view the lights!
My favorite is the photo for the illuminated jellyfish- beautiful.
Haha awesome post, it hits close to home! I have pics of the same jelly fish. I go to school right there and like to visit the Birch Aquarium. I hope you enjoyed your visit to beautiful SD! 🙂
Lucky you!! I would love to be able to visit that place very often! The jelly fish were so cool, but my favorite were the sea dragons. I’d never seen them before our visit and was totally mesmerized by them! We all had an amazing time in San Diego! There is so much to see and do there! We stayed in LaJolla and absolutely loved it!!
Oooh sea dragons are sooo cool! I still can’t believe something like that exists! La Jolla is definitely the best spot to stay. I’m glad you had fun!
